Sifu is coming up Xbox and Steam in March 2023. The announcement was made with a new trailer which also introduced a new one free mode called Arena. The information was shared via IGN USA. You can see the video just below.
The official description of the video reads: “Take a look at the new one arena mode coming to Sifu, the excellent martial arts fighting game. The Arenas will be coming to all platforms in March as part of a free update that coincides with the game’s arrival on Xbox and Steam as well.”
“The developer Sloclap claims: “Successfully completing the arenas will progressively unlock a huge new batch of modifiers, which doubles the current amount of the game and adds alternative moves to our main character’s Kung Fu possibilities. Completing the challenges of the new arenas will also unlock new tricks and new exclusive clothes”.”
Recall that earlier Sifu was already available on PC, but through the Epic Games Store, not through Steam. As for the console versions, at the time of writing the game is available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. In March 2023 the game will also be available on Xbox.
In our review we explained that “Sifu has seriously impressed us. It is a mechanically granite title, supported by a design worthy of absolute veterans of the development, which is not afraid of being brutally demanding and manages to surprise even from an artistic point of view. Not is particularly long-lived (especially if you are a very high-level player), but it is a brilliant title to say the least, highly recommended for lovers of action and unforgiving challenges. If this is only the second work by Sloclap and they are already grown up to that point, we don’t dare imagine what they can do with the next game.”
