Here are the mobile applications dedicated to making appointments with a health specialist in order, among other things, to carry out your vaccination reminder against Covid-19.

Whether for a booster dose of vaccination against Covid-19, or for a simple teleconsultation, there are several applications allowing you to make this kind of appointment. We list them in this paper. Just know that we will not talk about TousAntiCovid which is rather used as part of the health pass.
Doctolib : what else ?
Doctolib is most likely the first application you think of if you were to book an appointment with a doctor. Complete, intuitive, practical, the app has become a benchmark in this area. Just type a specialty or the name of a doctor in the search bar to find what you are looking for.
By entering “General Practitioner”, a list of health professionals located in your area appears, with, in order, the name of the doctor, his specialty, his address, his next availability and a tab dedicated to the video consultation, found on most doctors today. A map also allows you to have a more general overview.
In the event of a teleconsultation, the prescription prescribed by the doctor can be found in the “My documents” tab, which you can then download or open from the Doctolib application. Finding a niche to receive the Covid-19 vaccine has also been possible since January 2021.
Qare: for teleconsultation only
Qare is also one of the best-known medical applications, but is also and above all confined to teleconsultation only. Divided into four main tabs (Consultations, Health record, Health programs and Need help), its main interface is easy to use. In total, forty specialties are represented by the medical profession present on the application.
In addition to being able to book a consultation with an addictologist, child psychiatrist, cardiologist or dental surgeon, according to your personal schedule, the “Next available slots” tab allows you to access free doctors on the -field, or almost (15 minute wait in general). Convenient if you’re in a hurry. Their price, sector and support for the Vitale card are indicated.
The teleconsultation can be done on a mobile device or a computer, provided you have a good internet connection. The prescription and the various documents resulting from your appointment are available on your account. Finally, Qare offers health programs dedicated to pregnancy and early childhood, but also to nutrition, with a reference doctor indicated for each of these themes.
Livi: the ergonomic alternative
Like Qare, the Livi mobile application is a video medical consultation service. Its sleek and ergonomic interface is very popular. The app, on the other hand, gets lost in a boring maze of steps that then redirects you to an appropriate doctor.
Talking to a doctor in teleconsultation requires answering a plethora of questions beforehand: reason, treating doctor (sometimes not listed on the application), urgency or not, chronology of symptoms, consultation already carried out, suffering, degree of suffering, reason for consultation (again), medical treatments, allergies.
In short, the path to access a consultation is long and tedious. For the most diligent, you can also complete your profile by adding your weight, height, blood pressure and allergies, for example. Certain days and time slots are also increased – up to 10 euros. Livi consultations are reimbursed by Social Security.
Maiia: a more refined Doctolib clone
In principle, the Maiia application uses the principle of Doctolib: a search tab gives you access to a list of specialized doctors and a search bar to type in the name of a doctor. A list of caregivers then scrolls before your eyes, with their name, domain, location and availability to set up a physical appointment.
By clicking on the name of a doctor, you are given more details: the address, prices and reimbursements (sector, Vitale card), practical information, means of transport to get there. All with a slightly more refined interface than Doctolib.
For teleconsultation without an appointment, a dedicated tab is available on the first page of the interface to see the doctors available, the waiting time, the number of patients waiting and the end of the service. A system of filters to choose the specialty is also available.
Like Doctlib, Maiia offers you to find a vaccination center near you to receive the vaccine against Covid-19. A tab on the home interface has been added since the beginning of 2021 to make an appointment as quickly as possible.
Ameli: the official health insurance application
On Ameli, do not try to make an appointment either virtual or physical: this application informs you above all of the doctors available in your area or of the important measures to know in times of health crisis. It also and above all remains the official application of the Health Insurance.
Several sorting systems (postal code, distance, type of fee) and filters (without appointment, speciality) allow you to refine your searches, before the application shows you the addresses, routes or telephone numbers of ‘doctor. Your social security number and personal code of your Ameli account are requested.
If you have a health insurance, also check if it does not offer an application with similar functionalities.
Quickly My Dose of Vaccine: so as not to waste time
Vite Ma Dose de Vaccin does not seek to make any mystery as to its usefulness. This application allows you to find an appointment quickly enough to receive a dose of vaccine. It turns out to be very practical when platforms such as Doctolib find themselves unusable, because they are overwhelmed by thousands of people looking for their booster dose against Covid-19, for example. Certainly, it is less relevant and consulted than in its infancy, but you never know. It can be interesting to keep in a corner of the smartphone.
All you have to do is fill in a few search criteria and presto, with a bit of luck, you’re done.
