Lenovo has updated the IdeaPad Pro series of laptops with the IdeaPad Pro 5i 14 and IdeaPad Pro 5i 16 models. The new products will be equipped with Intel Raptor Lake-H mobile processors and discrete graphics cards up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 model. These components have not yet been officially presented – they debut at CES 2023 early next month.

IdeaPad Pro 5i series laptops will offer larger touchpads, webcams with depth-sensing FHD resolution and IR, as well as high-resolution displays with refresh rates up to 120Hz.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i 14 will offer a choice of two displays: a 14-inch 16:10 aspect ratio IPS screen with a resolution of 2880 × 1800 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a brightness of 400 cd/m2 or a 14-inch IPS panel with a 16:10 sides, 2240 × 1400 pixel resolution, 60 Hz refresh rate, and 300 cd/m2 brightness. Both displays have 100% coverage of the sRGB color space.
The IdeaPad Pro 5i 16 features a 16-inch IPS display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 2560 × 1600 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 350 cd/m2 brightness and 100% sRGB color gamut.
Both new items will be able to offer Core i5-13500H and Core i7-13700H processors. The official characteristics of these chips will become known at the beginning of next month. The IdeaPad Pro 5i 14 model will be equipped with a GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card with 6 GB of memory. The older model IdeaPad Pro 5i 16, in addition to the same graphics card, will offer configurations with the GeForce RTX 4050, which NVIDIA will introduce in January.
Both laptops will be equipped with 16 or 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and will be able to offer a 512 GB or 1 TB PCIe SSD. The equipment of the new products will also include one Thunderbolt 4 (Type-C), USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C (PD + DP) and HDMI 2.1 connector. In addition, they will receive two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, support for Wi-Fi 6 / 6E and Bluetooth 5.1, two speakers with a power of 2 W each and a 75 Wh battery. In the 14-inch model, the battery will provide up to 20.5 hours of battery life, in the 16-inch model – up to 13 hours.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i 14 and IdeaPad Pro 5i 16 laptop models will be available in Arctic Gray and Ice Blue. The start of sales of new products is scheduled for April. The cost of laptops will start from €1199.
