Path of Exile’s latest expansion and Challenge League, The Forbidden Sanctum, received new content with patch 3.20.1. It adds seven new unique relics that drop from the Sanctuary Boss final form.
This creates a new issue where equipping a Unique Relic and completing a Sanctuary run at area level 80+ will result in Scourge Herald dropping certain or multiple items, including the new Unique Ring. They can also cause Aureus coins to convert to “certain outcomes” when the Herald is defeated. The Unique Relic is destroyed when the run ends, so if you fail, it will disappear until the Herald resets it next time.
Other new additions include 41 new Lycia’s Invocation currency items. You can use them on uncorrupted Sanctified Relics and add their keystones. Another change is that characters take even less damage from Resolve when they are close to a target in Sanctum, giving some breathing room for melee builds.
