Samsung has just announced the development of its new 12nm DDR5 RAM memory, now capable of reaching 7.2 Gbps. They are excellent developments, in several categories.
Samsung has the fastest DDR5 memory chips
Therefore, we are talking about 16-gigabit (Gb) DDR5 RAM, the first produced by a 12nm process. Products that are already finishing the compatibility evaluation phase with what AMD already has on the market. (AMD gains a lot from increasing the frequency of RAM, this generation!)
All this is very important, because the demand in the world of memory is constantly increasing, and in addition to greater performance, these chips are also more efficient in terms of energy consumption.
In terms of sheer speed, thanks to the latest DDR5 standard, Samsung’s 12nm DRAM memory can reach up to 7.2 Gbps, which in more practical terms means transferring 2 movies of 30 gigabytes (GB) each, in a single second.
Furthermore, it is undeniable that DDR5 RAM memory is experiencing a simply incredible level of evolution. Have you already made the leap to the new generation? Or are you waiting for things to get even faster, and of course, cheaper? Share your opinion with us in the comments box below.
