Android Auto received a significant and long-awaited overhaul earlier this year at Google I/O. Among the novelties, it has introduced a split interface that takes full advantage of our car’s screen. That said, with the new version of Android Auto now in beta, we’ve already seen support for this system on Google Maps. However, the other app that is equally popular, Waze, was left out. Still things will change soon. As such, Waze will look better than ever on Android Auto!
Waze will look better than ever on Android Auto!
Many Waze fans using Android Auto Coolwalk were annoyed that Waze does not yet support this split-screen mode. Mainly because it is one of the standout functions of the new version and allows us to use several applications at once. For example, Android Auto can show our directions on one half of the screen, while the other half is occupied by the music player and its messages.

While Waze still opens in full-screen mode on Android Auto, some Reddit users have noticed a pop-up message that suggests an update is just around the corner. According to the fleeting message Waze will soon have support for Coolwalk’s split-screen mode, but it didn’t specify exactly how long it will take. However, it is good news.
However, remember that you can test the Android Auto beta, which is open to everyone. All you need to do is join the Android Auto beta program on the Play Store. Even so, if there are no more subscriptions, you can download the Android Auto beta from the APK Mirror and check the new layout before everyone else. This while waiting for Waze to update itself.
