In Ukraine, emergency power outages continue, which can take you by surprise in a variety of life situations, including when working with an ATM or terminal. The Government Portal published an explanation and a clear algorithm of actions in such situations – when the terminal suddenly stopped working due to a power outage right when depositing money into the account.
What to do if the ATM / terminal is disconnected due to a power outage when depositing money into the account
Call the hotline 3700 (PrivatBank) or 0800300102 (iBox) and apply for a refund. Inform the terminal number, its address, the deposited amount and the approximate time of the operation. After processing the application and carrying out the collection of the terminal, the lost funds will be returned to the bank card.
How else can you withdraw cash if the ATM is not working?
Cash can be obtained not only at banks and ATMs, but also at the cash desks of shops, pharmacies and gas stations. To do this, you need to pay for any purchase with a card and ask the cashier to withdraw the amount of cash you need from it. Thus, you can keep from 500 hryvnia, but not more than 6,000 hryvnia.
You can also withdraw cash from the card at Ukrposht and Novy Posht by contacting any branch of the postal operator.
