Nvidia’s Geforce RTX 4070 Ti, formerly known as the Geforce RTX 4080 12G, has been causing controversy long before its release. The graphics card is too expensive, the 12 gigabytes of memory is not enough for this price and many more such complaints could be heard. Nvidia’s only reaction to this was to rename the graphics card to RTX 4070 Ti. According to current rumours, the price of $899 exclusive of tax should have stayed the same.

Now the rumors are increasing and more and more pictures of the graphics cards are being leaked. Videocardz proclaims that the first models like Gigabyte’s RTX 4070 Ti Aero have now arrived in the trade press or are about to. This RTX 4070 Ti offers a triple fan cooler in white and thus a certain visual similarity to Gigabyte’s Vision models from the RTX 30 series. In addition, there is now the third iteration of the 12VHPWR adapter. This time only two eight-pin sockets have to be plugged in instead of three or four with the RTX 4080 and RTX 4090.
The RTX 4070 Ti Aero has a very short PCB that only takes up about half of the graphics card. Over the rest of the length you can see a massive heatsink with several heatsinks, through which a large amount of air can be pushed out of the card. The cooler is 2.5 slots high, so combined with the high efficiency of the Ada Lovelace cards, it should be very effective. On the RTX 4070 Ti sits a fully developed AD104 with 7,680 FP32 ALUs and 12 GiB GDDR6X memory. In addition, there is a TDP of 285 watts. The RTX 4070 Ti is supposed to be released on January 3rd. will be presented as part of the CES 2023 and from 05.01. be commercially available.
