Bill Clinton Kid, the boy who invaded the 2022 Game Awards, is literally ‘deleted’ by the curators of the TGA social networks: in the last tweet celebrating the GOTY won by Elden Ring, the boy who illegally climbed onto the stage of the Los Angeles show was removed, not without problems, with image processing software.
The fictitious absence of the now famous Bill Clinton Kid from the social post shared by the promotional machine of The Game Awards, as easily predictable, has triggered the Immediate reaction from the communityespecially as a function of the superficiality and the somewhat questionable results of the work carried out by those who removed the figure of the TGA invader from the shot used to pay homage to FromSoftware.
In fact, it only takes a few seconds to notice the graphic artifacts caused by the removal of the Bill Clinton Kid, with an unpleasant one ‘ghost effect’ which perfectly follows the body and hairstyle of the young man who enlivened the final moments of the 2022 The Game Awards ceremony which ended with the GOTY at Elden Ring.
Among the many who are commenting on the slide of the curators of the TGA social media there is also Lance McDonald: the well-known dataminer and ‘secret hunter’ of titles such as Bloodborne, Dark Souls and the Elden Ring itself ironically advises the graphic designer who cut the image of the Bill Clinton Kid from the FromSoftware celebratory photo to make use, next time, of a more advanced filter to more effectively ‘fill’ the portion of the scene to be photoshopped.
