Noa is a hacker in a cyberpunk future. Together with partner Ryder, she steals secrets from the dominating corporations in order to make ends meet. But then her father is kidnapped by the nasty company Monomind and things suddenly get really serious. is playful Jack Move a very classic role-playing game with a more Japanese character: Noa is traveling alone, exploring her city of Bright Town and the company complexes, while Ryder supports her from the computer. The world is shown from a bird’s eye view, if there is a direct exchange of blows, it is faded into a separate battle screen. Practically all the usual J-RPG options from normal attack to magic to the resounding limit break are available, but everything with a cyberpunk touch: magic is software here, normal attacks are hacks. A complex but never overwhelming skill system ensures that Noa can defend herself skillfully.
Graphically works Jack Move the typical indie way: The world and its inhabitants are presented in detailed pixel graphics in a contemporary style without black outlines, but with liquid animations and harmonious lighting effects, a synth soundtrack provides the right mood. The well-done texts also play their part with their very own technical jargon. And some exploration is worthwhile: In addition to the main story, you will also find many side quests and entertaining NPC dialogues that decorate the world, convey more about Noa and Ryder or just make you smile.
