Among the many video games of the incredible 2023 lineup of Xbox Game Pass there will also be Redfall. The leaker Okami_Games shares some interesting advances on the stage of development and, consequently, on the timing of the launch of the Arkane paranormal shooter.
The well-known ‘deep throat’ has in fact decided to reappear on social networks to provide an update on the marketing window of Redfall. In fact, the leaker claims to “have learned that Redfall has undergone an ‘internal postponement’ of about 6 weeks compared to the original plans (which envisaged its release in March, ed). Currently, Arkane aims to launch Redfall in early May“.
For Okami_Games, the specter of the internal postponement agitated by its anonymous informants represents “bad news, but I’m sure it’s for the best”, obviously referring to the extra time that should have been granted to the Arkane Austin team to make all the improvements and optimizations necessary to guarantee a ‘serene launch’ for the new IP of the authors of Dishonored, Deathloop and Prey.
Speaking of the Prey reboot, did you know that the new Xbox exclusive will have a huge open world and that only one area of Redfall will be larger than the Talos space station? As explained in August by the Artistic Director of Arkane Austin Karen Segarsin this and all other areas of the Redfall free roaming map, players will be able to “go through each place, enter shops, apartments and climb onto the roofs of buildings”.
