For several weeks now, after Microsoft’s absence from The Game Awards, rumors have been circulating that the Xbox team is preparing a separate gaming event that will take place in early 2023. This was previously reported by gaming insider Jez Corden, and now the rumors are confirmed by Jeff Grubb.
As part of the Xbox Era podcast, well-known gaming insider Jeff Grubb revealed that the Xbox team is indeed planning to host a game show in Q1 2023 to showcase their projects. At this show, you can expect the announcement of release dates for previously announced games, as well as a new announcement from Tango GameWorks – Bethesda and Xbox studios.
According to Jeff Grubb, the forthcoming announcement from Tango GameWorks is a small game, something like Obsidian’s Pentiment. Recall that Tango GameWorks itself is known for The Evil Within and Ghostwire: Tokyo. Ghostwire: Tokyo is expected to release on Xbox in 2023, after a year of Playstation exclusivity.
