Once again some leaks about the Battle Royale shooter “Apex Legends” are doing the rounds. What does Respawn Entertainment have planned for the next year?
The successful battle royale shooter “Apex Legends” is currently in its 15th season, which brought with it both another legend and a new map with Catalyst and Destroyed Moon. And although the season is active until mid-February, the leakers have once again given a preview of the future content.
An arms dealer and a fresh class system
Among other things, the reliable insider Thordon Smash revealed that for the first time no new legend will come into play with the 16th season. Instead, Ballistic, as the next legend is called, will only be released in the summer with the 17th season. The first details about the character have already surfaced.
According to this, Ballistic is a weapon dealer who can buff allies and debuff opponents. His ultimate grants allies infinite ammo, faster reloads, and increased unarmed movement speed for a duration. His Tactical ability, in turn, fires a Smart Bullet that causes the enemy weapon to overheat and backfire. Ballistic will also have a weapon sling that he can use to carry a third weapon. However, this will not be able to have essays.
But if no new legend appears with the next season, what does Respawn Entertainment have planned? Regarding this, NC Pitts has on Reddit reveal some details.
Respawn Entertainment is planning to overhaul the class system massively. Among other things, the distribution will be changed so that Newcastle and Gibraltar will be classified as supporters in the future. The Assault class will get red containers and a larger inventory for ammo. The Defense class, in turn, becomes the Control class, which is filled with legends that cordon off areas and provide protection. The Recon class should again remain unchanged. With Skirmisher, a new class is introduced that stands for high mobility and includes legends that can also quickly move into and out of combat.
