Tesla is known for being a pioneer when it comes to electric cars. But the giant led by Elon Musk has just launched an unexpected product.
It’s a wireless charger, but it’s not for your car. It is a wireless charger designed to charge smartphones or other products with Qi technology, although it comes at a ridiculous price.
Tesla’s Wireless Charging Platform costs $300
For now, only available on the brand’s website in the United States, Tesla’s Wireless Charging Platform will cost US$300. And as you can see, it has an angular and metallic design in the style of the Cybertruck.
The interesting part is that it gets up to 15 W of charging power per device, for up to three devices at the same time. This is provided by 30 reels inside.
“Its elegant design comprises an aluminum housing, premium alcantara surface and a detachable magnetic holder that allows you to place the charger horizontally or at an angle for better viewing”, can be read in the product description.
It comes with FreePower technology, which basically lets you charge your Qi-compatible devices anywhere on the surface. This means that you don’t need to line up your smartphone or headphones, they can be placed “by the way”.
