Iceberg Interactive and Laps Games are ending the year with a new update for Land of the Vikings. The developers are taking into account most of the feedback received and balancing the game accordingly.
Take a look at the improvements made by this latest Steam Early Access update:
Auto Job Assignment: As the player progresses, they will now be able to enable auto job assignment for many tasks. You can always assign workers yourself, but if you want to focus on some of your many other responsibilities, just turn on automatic assignment! Auto Worker Replacement: With this feature, an available worker is immediately assigned to replace an employee who leaves work for any reason. Ship auto repair: when ships are significantly damaged, they are automatically sent to a free shipyard for repairs. Auto Harvest: With this feature, you can allow farmers to continuously plant and harvest from the fields you use. Village Defense: To make the player experience even more realistic, villages will be attacked by the surrounding local tribes and players will have to defend themselves. Wall Building: Fortify your village to keep the villagers safe. By installing the newly added defensive structures, the Wall and the Watchtowers, you will be able to protect your village from future attacks. Some minor changes based on player feedback: Speed of the day in the game has been increased by 20%. Trees will spawn 25% faster. Warrior training fees have increased.
In Land Of The Vikings, players take on the role of Jarl of a new Viking village. A wise Jarl must manage resources, endure harsh conditions and enemy raids, and guide his fellow Vikings to work together through social conflict.
Players must turn their village into a thriving city. But they are not quite on their own; Scandinavian gods will help players with various bonuses in exchange for their worship.
