Google Contacts received yet another update that brought a new tab called “Highlights” which appears between “Contacts” and “Fix & Manage” in the bottom bar of the You material.
In it, below the search field, you can see the grid of favorites, which brings together icons of your most frequent contacts and it is possible to add new shortcuts in the upper right corner of the device. Then, still in the highlights tab, you can access “Recently viewed” and “Recently added”, which speeds up navigation.
The update provides much faster access for users, who instead of scrolling to find their contacts, have a more visual and friendlier grid than the list in the contacts tab.
