2022 saw the PlayStation Plus revolution with the arrival of the two new tiers Extra and Premium, two new profiles with many new games compared to the Essentials subscription, with the basic subscription which still continues to give away on average three free games for PS4 and PS5 every month.

A game that needs no introductionGod of War was already available in the PlayStation Plus Collection for PS5 owners but was also offered to Essentials subscribers on PS4 in June.
God of War 2018 is one of the best PlayStation exclusives in recent years and an iconic game of the past generation of consoles.
Stray (July)
In July, the top two levels of PlayStation Plus (Extra and Premium) were able to download Stray for free, one of the nominees for the best game of the year award, later won by Elden Ring.
