The first-person shooter Severed Steel is available for free at Epic Games until tomorrow at 4:59 p.m. In the fast-paced parkour shooter, the player slips into the role of Steel, a one-armed sniper who fights her way through various voxel environments. With a varied bullet-time system, fast parkour action and a dark electronic soundtrack, Severed Steel is also intended to offer spectacular variety in terms of gameplay. According to the description, Severed Steel is a single-player FPS “with a fluid stunt system, destructible voxel environments, tons of bullet time and a unique one-handed protagonist”. “You, your trigger finger and your steel-toed boots against a superstructure full of bad guys. Run along walls, jump, somersaults, slides, and flatten all opponents in the process.” The desire for destruction is satisfied by the right environment: “Puncture plaster with live 4.7 mm rounds, destroy thick walls with your .50 caliber or make deep holes with your arm cannon,” says the description.
