Apple has added Algar Telecom to the list of operators approved by the company in Brazil, allowing users of the telecommunications company to use various features natively on iPhones, such as taking advantage of the fifth generation of mobile networks (5G), LTE, FaceTime via mobile network and personal access.
O AllCellular contacted the company to obtain more information about the addition of Algar Telecom to the list of operators supported by Apple, however, we have not yet received a response. Due to this, we do not know when it was effectively included in the list, which previously only included Claro, TIM, Vivo and Oi.
As reinforced by the MacMagazine portal, the novelty allows access to the NSA 5G network without having to manually configure the Access Point Name (APNs) to connect to the Internet. While the other operators support around eight resources, Algar still has some restrictions on its use.
On its website, Algar Telecom offers several options for mobile plans for users, including one-off offers and pre-paid options with a deductible of up to 130 GB per month.
