The Dark Knight meets the Doom Guy in Batman Rogue Cityan ‘old school’ shooter made by youtuber and independent developer Illuminati Dad drawing on the source code of the first Doom.
Similarly to what was done by the author of the incredible Zelda fan-made project The Legend of Doom, the father of Batman Rogue City also used GZDoom to reconstruct an alternative version of the Gotham City admired and explored by all Batman fans in movies, comics, TV series and video games.
The purpose of our alter-ego is obviously to protect the inhabitants of the metropolis by hunting down the bad guy on duty and his minions. The Batman fan-made video game Rogue City features a total of eight freely explorable environments, full of objects to destroy and enemies to take down between ‘minor’ opponents and end-of-level bosses. Victories against the toughest enemies reward the player with unique weapons, additional abilities and upgrades for the Batmobile.
