Reports are mounting online that Henry Cavill has been kicked out of The Witcher series for toxic behavior.
As we previously reported, starting in Season 4, the Warlock in The Witcher series on Netflix will be played by Liam Hamsworth and no longer Henry Cavill.
Henry Cavill is said to have lost his position as a lead actor due to toxic behavior. A podcast called “Deux U,” which announced it received a transcript of internal emails and more, claims that he mainly had a violent argument with Henry Cavill and female showrunner, Lauren Hissrich.
During the production, it is also said to have turned out that Henry was “addicted to video games”, he had spoken to his colleagues in a “video game” tone contemptuously and had even contradicted the directors’ decisions with toxic behavior. In the end it escalated, which is said to have led to his expulsion.
“Every department head has complained,” it said in a team-internal transcript. “He started making comments. It wasn’t sexual: he wasn’t groping anyone or being lewd, but it was still disrespectful and toxic.”
Lauren Hissrich revealed in another interview that his departure was “mutually respectful,” but that she also had more to say at a later date.
Lauren Hissrich said: “I have a lot to say and I think there’s a lot, you know… we’ll never find out all the reasons why Henry left, of course, but I can say it’s been a mutually respectful relationship… So please please please come back in six months when we can talk,” she said.
