Obsidian Entertainment announced that it will release a vinyl edition of the medieval RPG soundtrack in 2023 Repentance. Fans are waiting for a double album recorded by the early music ensemble Alchemy. And its design was created by the art director of the game, Hannah Kennedy.
As the creators of the popular puzzle game explained, to match the visual style of the game, they chose the sounds of the instruments and music of 16th-century Europe. Alkemie musicians used shawls, hurdy-gurdies and other medieval instruments. And in addition to the original melodies, including the final song Ein Traum, the soundtrack includes transcriptions of works from the 14th-16th centuries.
You can listen to the melodies of the soundtrack now in Spotify and iTunes. It is also sold in Steam, both in the set with the game, and independently. In addition to PC, Pentiment is available on Xbox Series, Xbox One, and Xbox Game Pass.
