As you may know, the RTX 4070 Ti has been ready to do its thing in the world of graphics cards for several weeks now, as the card is actually the canceled RTX 4080 with 12GB of memory, and well… New packaging.
However, the expectation that the original price would drop a bit due to AMD’s renewed rivalry, and also the failure of the RTX 4080 in the market, seems more and more like a simple dream.
After all, NVIDIA’s next generation card has already started to appear in some markets, especially Asia, and it’s anything but cheap. Madness has arrived at graphics cards, and it insists on disappearing.
RTX 4070 Ti has already appeared in China at more than 1000 €
So, if you still remember the launch of the RTX 2070, or the RTX 3070, these were graphics cards that promised an extremely appealing level of performance, at a more wallet-friendly price. The same was true of the Ti versions of these graphics cards, which tried to take the GPU a step further without breaking the consumer’s bank account.
Well, the RTX 4070 Ti defies all the laws of logic, appearing at a price that makes little or no sense in the grand scheme of things. 1000€, or more, for a card that is far from being considered high-end? But how so!?
After all, in addition to prices exceeding €1000 in China, the RTX 4070 Ti has also appeared in Serbia at ~€1300. That said, while 1300€ is obviously an exaggeration, it seems that ~1000€ will be the normal price in the vast majority of regions, namely in Portugal. Which raises a question… Would you buy an RTX 4070 Ti, which is a mid/high end card, at this price?
