The head of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, Yulia Sviridenko, in an interview with Forbes, said that the government plans to allow Ukrainians who received reservations from the draft to go on business trips abroad.
The Verkhovna Rada instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to develop new booking criteria by January 4, 2023. Now the resolution is being negotiated, and as Sviridenko emphasized, “the discussion is in full swing.”
One of the criteria suggests that Ukrainians booked from mobilization will be able to travel abroad on a business trip. First of all, permission will be received:
public sector workers who “perform mobilization tasks”; specialists of enterprises producing products for the Ukrainian military; employees of enterprises that are “critical to the economy”.
The Minister of Economy noted that the Cabinet of Ministers “does not plan to allow everyone to travel abroad”, first of all, the initiative will focus on helping Ukrainian businesses.

“Our task is to help businesses go abroad to conclude new contracts, agreements, participate in exhibitions,” says Sviridenko.
Recall that since September, the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Digital Transformation planned to launch a mechanism called “Vidryadzhennya” for the departure of men of military age for work abroad, but the project was not supported by Prime Minister Denys Shmygal, as well as the President’s Office.
Employees who received a booking earlier can renew it after the deadline. The deferment from conscription is granted for six months. In September, the government also approved a proposal by the Economy Ministry to extend the deadline by another two months for workers booked in March and April.
