What the mechanism looks like is not entirely clear.
It is not a secret to anyone that Apple, perhaps without much pleasure, but clearly with a higher enthusiasm than required, joined the implementation of the so-called anti-Russian sanctions. All “objectionable” applications of companies and banks that fell under the sanctions were removed from the App Store – in particular, they removed Sberbank Online, an application with which people carry out various banking operations with their accounts on the go.
This circumstance led to inconvenience: if you purchased a new device from Apple, then you have no way to install the application, and you have to limit yourself to working in the web version of Sberbank Online, the functionality of which lags behind that in the mobile application. What Sberbank did not do: it even downloaded various disguised copies of its application in the App Store, but Apple is vigilant and continues to put spokes into the wheels of users from Russia.
Against the background of all this, today the first deputy chairman of the board of Sberbank, Kirill Tsarev, said that the Sberbank Online application can be installed on devices running iOS directly at bank branches. According to Tsarev, the bank has found a solution and is now implementing it: branch employees will install the application for you.

How it will look from a technical point of view, is not specified. And this is a very non-trivial question, because, as we know, Apple does not allow (for the time being) the installation of applications in any other way than through the App Store.
