Bigger and snowier, Vikendi returns to PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS with a new version that will put your survival skills to the test. An extreme zone that comes with many new features!
Snow comes to Vikendi
Renamed Vikendi Renaissance, the iconic Battle Royale map first sees its area will increase from 6x6km to 8x8km, in addition to hosting harsh weather events. Snowstorms are indeed legion on the map, the latter sometimes reducing the field of vision of the players on Blizzard’s new zone.
Another consequence of this bad weather is that the battlefield is covered in snow, which can make traversing the map more difficult. Fortunately, you can count on the snowmobile to take you from one end of the map to the other thanks to its maximum speed of 120km/h, but also on an original mode of transport: cable cars !
Lab Camps are also spawning around the frozen lake in the northwest of the map. Of various sizes and structures, these camps have the particularity of being equipped with alarms which are triggered as soon as nearby supply crates are emptied of their contents. Is the game worth the candle? You decide !
Renewed gameplay
But it’s not just the topography of Vikendi that has changed! The map introduces new gameplay mechanics, such as the crowbar which allows access to closed places… or to correct your opponents. The Comeback BR system has also been adjusted to offer three opportunities to return to combatagainst one before.
How it works ? When they die, players join the Comeback BR arena. If they survive this mini-survival phase (up to three per game), they are reintegrated into the match and can try to reach the Top 1 again.
