At the beginning of December 2022, a very interesting fact emerged in the export world: Brawl Stars is conquering competitive mobile gaming. The fan boom seen in 2022 has even led to a peak attendance of 400,000 at the World Finals, but now it’s time to prepare for 2023.
Supercell itself has offered fans some clues on social media about the Brawl Stars Championship 2023, a competition that will continue next year too, albeit with different formats and jackpots. New sub-regions were added to the tournament in question to include Singapore and India in Southeast Asia and South Asia respectively, while North America and South America were split into East and West. In this way, the path to reach the highest levels will be more intricate but spectacular, full of matches and, therefore, of possible surprises for the fans. The Brawl Stars Championship 2023 will therefore start on February 3 with the Championship Challenge, which will serve the teams to pass the monthly qualifiers and start the path to the world finals.
As for the prize pool of the Finals 2023, the Finnish developer has decided to contribute $750,000 in 2023 instead of the 500,000 visas this year, to which community funding will then have to be added. In addition, the prize money for each monthly final will increase in the same way. Finally, Supercell has pledged to continue supporting third-party tournaments as well.
Always talking about the Brawl Stars World Cup, in 2023 there will be 12 teams instead of 18 to fight for the title of world champions: eight will qualify from the Brawl Stars Championship, while the remaining four will come from the Last Chance Qualifier. Finally, the entire competition will be structured as a double elimination bracket, as requested by the community.
Who knows if 2023 will be the year of Reply Totem, an Italian organization that this year won Brawl Stars tournaments in Cologne and Valencia.
