Chile is the next country to give full approval to Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
Chilean regulator Fiscalía Nacional Económica (FNE) has approved Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
“The Chilean competition authority FNE has now approved our acquisition by Microsoft, joining regulators in other countries in recognizing the advantages of the acquisition for competition and market participants. As other relevant regulators review the matter, we expect more approvals like this one,” said Lulu Cheng Meservey, EVP of Corporate Affairs at Activision Blizzard.
The Chilean Public Prosecutor’s Office thus approved the acquisition of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft in phase 1, ruling out that this acquisition could significantly restrict competition.
