Adam Driver back in space
Most of you may have discovered Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, grandson of Darth Vader, introduced in the new Star Wars trilogy produced by Disney. Others may also have seen him in the Girls series, in the Netflix movie Marriage Story alongside Zendaya, or even in BlacKkKlansman: I Infiltrated the Ku Klux Klan. In 2023, fans of the actor will be able to discover him in a brand new science fiction film with particularly original ambitions: 65, The Land Before.
In the latter (the trailer of which you will find above), Adam Driver will play the role of Mills, the pilot of a spaceship who will have to face many dangers after a crash against an asteroid. Indeed, he will then find himself on a planet that was initially unlisted, which will reveal itself as he explores to be the Earth, 65 million years in the past.
Planet of the Dinosaurs
If this scenario reminds you of anything, it’s because on paper it’s a sort of inverted Planet of the Apes. However, the trailer also reveals that Mills will have to take care of a young survivor in addition to her own life, and the general atmosphere seems closer to a dinosaur adaptation of Returnal than a copy. of the Planet of the Apes.
Do not panic however, the film seems to be in very good hands to bring you successful and original entertainment. Indeed, it is written and directed by the screenwriters of A Quiet Place (Scott Beck and Bryan Woods), produced by Sam Raimi (originally behind the Spider-Man trilogy of the 2000s and the recent Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness), and the music is composed by Danny Elfman (recurring composer of Tim Burton projects such as the Netflix series Wednesday or the films The Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands, or for that matter, Planet of the monkeys). In other words, if the scenario can make you smile at first sight, the film seems on track to be a potential success. Answer in a few months, during 2023.
