After having launched two models in the new Neo 7 series with MediaTek chips, iQOO, in an unexpected turn of events, launches a new model in this line with a different processor.
The iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition arrives in the final stretch of 2022, but equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.

After having already revealed two models in the Neo 7 series, behold, iQOO closes 2022 by launching another terminal in this family of smartphones. The previous models – Neo 7 and Neo 7 SE – have MediaTek Dimensity chips, but the Racing Edition variant differs from the rest of the family in this specific point.
iQOO unexpectedly chose to equip the new smartphone with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It seems that the Chinese brand wants the new Neo 7 series to respond to all user preferences and needs.
Paired with the Qualcomm chip are up to 12 GB of RAM memory and up to 256 GB of internal storage capacity.
The front area is occupied by a 6.78-inch screen with Full HD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate and even support for HDR10+ Powering the terminal is a 5,000 mAh battery with support for Vivo SuperFast fast charging at 120 watts.
On the optical side, the Neo 7 Racing Edition has a triple camera setup that includes the 50-megapixel Sony IMX766V and optical image stabilization as the primary sensor. Complementing this is an ultrawide of eight megapixels and a macro sensor with two megapixels of resolution.
Moreover, this terminal also winks at gaming fans. All because it is equipped with an additional processor that minimizes energy consumption and has dual X-axis motors to provide improved haptic feedback during gaming sessions.
It is also equipped with a larger steam chamber so that you start sessions at a low temperature and keep it that way, in order to provide a fluid and fast gaming experience.
The iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition has now been made available on the Chinese market for an approximate price of 380 euros. Unfortunately, the brand has not come forward with information about its availability globally.
