News PS5 game at Christmas: the biggest fails!

Already two years since the PS5 was released and, despite selling 25 million units worldwide, it remains difficult to obtain. Despite everything, it was on many Christmas letters, and some competed in inventiveness to offer it, while others had very bad surprises.
Getting a PS5 at Christmas: the real challenge
If you’ve tried to get a PS5, you know it’s not easy, stocks were initially very low, and unscrupulous dealers gave themselves to their heart’s content. Things have improved this year, but it is still difficult to buy the new console from Sony. Demand remains very high, and you have to be on the lookout for availability announcements to hope to receive it at home, pick it up in store, or get it as a gift.
We said it, things are doing a little better, and yours truly even saw one in a store chain E.Leclerc. It quickly went away, but it’s remarkable enough to be pointed out. Be that as it may, we are right in the middle of the holiday season, and many people have managed to order the PS5 to install it in their living room, or to offer.
Between surprises and disillusion: the PS5 at the heart of many “failures”
And as much to say that some people were surprised. Between careless or close delivery people very aware of the rarity of the object, we were treated to many videos or testimonials presenting the opening of gifts. One thinks in particular of this American family, which disguised the PS5 by giving the giveaway a toilet bowl shape, flushing included! Elsewhere, the surprise was much less good. It is The Sun which reports this sad story, explaining that a mother, named Rebecca, spied on Amazon to try to order the PS5 for her son Georges. She managed to do it, and left the gift with a little note explaining that the elves had worked magic to get the cosole. Unfortunately, inside the box, no PS5, but a dog cushion! No bad joke from the mother, but a malicious act:

Amazon customer service has been contacted but unable to obtain a console due to lack of stock. The family still has could get a refundin the hope that a copy will be put online soon.
The risk of breakage, the vagaries of delivery
Finally, a certain MrReboks had a terrible mishap when he wanted to offer a PS5 to his other half. After gifting it, the couple noticed that the PS5 turned on, but no video signal was sent to the screen, regardless of manipulation or the use of various HDMI cables. It was by observing the video surveillance of his house that he noticed that the delivery man (US Postal) threw the box on the ground Before leaving.
I just want to thank @USPS for breaking my PS5 for my fiancee’s Christmas present, thumbs up for that. And Amazon can’t issue a replacement because they don’t currently have one available.
Comments pointed out to him that the console should have resisted a shock of this kind, and that what caused the worries of the console probably happened in the warehouse or during transport. Anyway, the product is still under warranty, either from the seller’s side or from Sony. Unfortunately, he will have to be patient to get the console and give it away for good…
