Superheroes don’t have it easy: Despite their selfless commitment to humanity, they are sued for damage to property. Eventually, the supermen and women disappear and eke out an existence as ordinary people. Only Mr. Incredible can’t come to terms with life as a normal person and soars up to new heroic deeds with his buddy Frozone – anonymously, of course. Finally, the mysterious Mirage offers the aging Superman the opportunity to put his powers to good use.
Based closely on the film template, you fight your way through the colorful comic adventure in 18 missions as Mr. Incredible, his wife Elastigirl and the children Violetta and Flash. The lion’s share is provided by the muscle man, who, thanks to his superpowers, beats up combat robots, security guards and bomb-throwing Frenchmen on the assembly line. When it’s the stretchy wife’s turn, you mainly swing through the level. The youngsters do not use violence at all and prefer to use their skills to avoid danger. If you control your Flash, its rapid sprint qualities require quick reactions: Dodge obstacles at high speed and avoid harmful frictional heat. Violetta, on the other hand, follows in the footsteps of Sam Fisher and briefly turns invisible. If the two siblings act in a team, you roll enemies and equipment flat in a protective ball. In addition to their superpowers, the heroes have a special ‘Incredi’ attack. Given ‘Incredi’ energy, Mr. Incredible knocks out several enemies while Elastigirl swings her limbs in circles. From time to time a monstrous intermediate opponent in the form of a multi-armed robot stands in your way. Diligent players unlock numerous extras related to the film by collecting bonus items.
opinion
Janina Wintermayr meint: are incredibly good The Incredibles only in the cinema: Unfortunately, the game does not succeed in inspiring the masses to the same extent. Although the implementation is close to the film template and guarantees enough variety with the four characters, the missions turned out to be too simple and monotonous overall. Graphically, the title also only offers solid, but not intoxicating fare. Despite the generally low level of difficulty and an abundance of healing packages, you are still not prepared for occasional screen death. Thanks to the many checkpoints, however, it rarely gets frustrating, which makes the action-adventure game also recommended for younger players. Otherwise, film fans will be short but well entertained.
