Netflix is keen to cancel series. In the past there was more patience and they were waiting to see if things really caught on. Now the fuse is much shorter and if things don’t always go well, we have a goodbye. This is an error. If we remember the first seasons of “The Office” we realize that things weren’t exactly phenomenal. However, the renovations gave the writers and actors the opportunity to find their voice for the show and turn this series into a classic. Warrior Nun wasn’t that lucky, but now Season 3 may be on its way to another platform.
Warrior Nun: Season 3 coming to another platform?
There are many reasons why a competing platform could lose out on “Warrior Nun” for Season 3 and beyond. It’s a fantastic female-centric series that combines romance, fantasy and action in a way that few productions have managed lately. It also received a lot of praise from critics, including Paul Tassi of Forbes, who wrote about the most recent season.
All these positive reviews translated into a warm reception from the general public. This is what led to the creation of the hashtag “#SaveWarriorNun”.
For another platform to pick up on this would instantly build good karma among fans and could even lead to new subscribers, which is what all these platforms need to make a profit.
But which platform will save?
The producers of the series have already hinted that they are still in the fight and this suggests good news. As for the platform, although there has been talk of HBO, it seems that it could really be Amazon Prime Video.
For starters, Amazon has had success with comic book adaptations in the past, including “The Boys”. Plus, Amazon has a history of saving shows. After “The Expanse” was canceled by SyFy, Amazon came to give it more episodes. The show went on to have three more seasons due to this. So there’s no reason why “Warrior Nun” couldn’t find the same level of success. Many agree that Season 2 was an improvement over the first. So it is likely that the third followed the same path. We don’t know if this will lead to a fourth season. However launching the third season makes perfect sense at least to conclude its story. Many fans will thank you.
