Work on the first-person shooter Stalker 2 is still in full swing, as recently as September, the developers of GSC Gameworld assured that the current release for 2023 will remain. Due to the illegal war of aggression in Russia, the Ukrainian development studio had to stop production for several months earlier this year, which resulted in a postponement of the release date. But there’s good news too, as a new trailer for Stalker 2 shows off a ton of new gameplay.

The development studio GSC Gameworld has released a new trailer for the planned horror first-person shooter Stalker 2 (buy now59.99 €). The two-minute clip gives us an insight into the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. But in the gameplay scenes, not only is there wild shooting, but the impressive 64 square kilometer game world around the accident site is also presented in more detail. In addition, we received more information about the non-linear story. But it’s best to form your own picture.

When will Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl be released?

Stalker 2 is scheduled to be released at the end of 2023, because the Ukrainian developers initially had to postpone the release of the game due to Russia’s war of aggression, which is illegal under international law. December 2023 is the final release date on Steam. Additionally, the title will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one. The developers recently assured that the title hasn’t been postponed after some pre-orders were cancelled.
