English Dambuster Studios became the third studio working on Dead Island 2. The creation of the game under her wing began almost from scratch, but despite this, she decided to keep the Los Angeles setting.
According to game director David Stanton, another setting was not discussed in principle. “Los Angeles is a fantastic iconic place,” so the developers didn’t really feel the need to change the city or use any other areas.
Don’t expect Dead Island 2 to suddenly move to San Francisco or any other location in California. At the same time, we recall that on the original logo in 2014, the letter D in the word Dead showed the silhouette of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
Stanton also emphasized that Dambuster Studios does not pay much attention to the past development of Dead Island 2 or any other games. The team is focused on making a phenomenal continuation of the series that fans will love.
