A new vulnerability found in GTA 5 on PC allows cheaters to do nothing more than corrupt other users’ single sessions, incapacitating them. In fact, the scammer does not even need to be in the game session to act and use the vulnerability to block the game of his victim. Of course, the same thing works in the Gran Theft Auto Online lobby.
The issue was raised by Twitter user TezFunz2, who recommended using a firewall and blocking all connections to resolve the issue.
TezFunz2: “GTA Online PC players beware. There are several new remote attacks. Your game may freeze in single player or any GTA Online lobby. The scammer does not need to be present in the session. To protect yourself, use a firewall to block all connections.”
TezFunz2 then added in another tweet that GTA V developer Rockstar Games is aware of the issue and is working on a fix as soon as possible. However, given the holiday season, the fix may take more than a few days.
