God of War Ragnarok ended 2022 with a return to the top of the UK charts, according to GamesIndustry.biz editor Christopher Dring, who gave a preview of what the top 10 will look like in the UK from December 26 to January 1.
There is no full chart yet, but the PlayStation exclusive from Santa Monica Studio has made a strong comeback, climbing to number one from the previous week’s third and confirming that it is a successful product.
Two things are interesting to note: first, the rise in God of War Ragnarok came despite a significant drop in sales of 29 percent from the previous week; secondly, PS5 bundles are also included in the total, which certainly helped.
Pending the full details we expect tomorrow, we can assume that FIFA 23 hasn’t dropped below number two given its UK market relevance and Christmas period, while it will be interesting to see if Mario Kart 8 succeeds. Deluxe bypass Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on the podium.
