Player of the Attic always has new ideas on YouTube and Twitch
Despite some bitterness about the current situation of YouTube and Twitch, Joueur du Grenier, one of the pioneers in content creation on the platform with the red and white logo, is far from finished even if he is not tender when it comes to evoking one or the other of the platforms on which we can follow him. For him, YouTube becomes “the Facebook of video”. On the Twitch side, his projects are evolving and he even imagines new nostalgic formats. Despite all the little surprises he can prepare in the shadows, especially for his main YouTube channel, the platform owned by Google poses some difficulties for him that he sometimes mentions during his sessions on Twitch.
Between Christmas and New Year’s Day, Joueur du Grenier returned to his work as a content creator on YouTube, a job that is not always easy and which sometimes requires him to make concessions that he would do well without. This is not the first time that Joueur du Grenier has shared his frustrations with platforms live. To that of its rate of video release, slowed down due to a lack of time, another has been added and it does not really have an alternative to this method to develop its content and its productions on these different chains. For Joueur du Grenier, sponsored videos are a real subject of debate, but not everything is necessarily negative in this, as he explained live on Twitch.
For his YouTube videos, Joueur du Grenier has to make some sacrifices
Those who consume a lot of content on YouTube have noticed that content creators sometimes use sponsored videos. This method allows them, among other things, to raise funds in order to create additional content or to reimburse the costs of certain expensive productions. Like many of his counterparts, Joueur du Grenier uses it, but it’s not a choice he makes happily as he recently explained during a Twitch live.. It’s even sometimes heartbreaking when he chooses to include a sponsor in his video, even more so when it comes to certain mobile games.
Currently, we have on average one OP on the JDG channel, one OP on the Bazar channel (…) If I could have 2 OP per month on the Bazar channel, we could have a person who spends more time in the Bazar, who prepares scripts for me so that I can transform them. It would allow me to spend less time on the Bazaar (…) I do it because I have no choice (…) But know that when I do OP on mobile games, my heart dies a little at the time. inside every time. Know that whenever you see me doing it, inside I am empty.
According to him, without sponsored videos, the rate of publication of videos on his various channels would be strongly impacted. And, to top it off, there isn’t really an alternative to this system that allows it to achieve a certain regularity in the content published. While it can sometimes be a difficult choice to make, there are sponsors with whom everything goes like clockwork, like NordVPNeven if it becomes more and more difficult to renew oneself when carrying out these product placements.
Anyway, either we don’t do it and then we’ll go to one video per week because we have no choice, or we do it and maybe we manage to relaunch a kind of rhythm. Maybe we finally manage to do the projects we wanted to do, like the JDR (…) I really like the OPs with Nord VPN, especially since they are really very very nice. The people we work with are very, very open. They were the first to accept that we do so much nonsense (…) It’s true that after a while, I don’t know what to say anymore. I don’t know how to sell it to you anymore.
