Dedicated to those who like to call Mundfish a “Russian” studio.
When, after the events of this year, everything related to Russia in the West was either simply censored or self-censored, references to the supposedly Russian video game Atomic Heart in major foreign publications began to cause bewilderment among users with little interest in the gaming industry. In fact, there is nothing surprising in this: the Mundfish studio is Cypriot, which the developers openly, without hiding anything, write on their official website, and there are no developers from Russia in its composition, as the team leader Robert said in an interview with WCCFTech Bagratuni.
According to Bagratuni, Mundfish currently employs 130 developers located in Poland, Ukraine, Austria, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Israel, Armenia, the United Arab Emirates, Serbia and Cyprus. Of course, in fact, the Russians in Mundfish are probably represented – from among those who consider themselves “citizens of the world”, and in the heat of the situation they preferred to “relocate” to the CIS countries or to Cyprus with Israel. Nevertheless, they are not officially working on Atomic Heart in Russia, so calling this project domestic, given its initial focus on the Western consumer, is wishful thinking.

Atomic Heart is slated for release on February 21st. In Russia, the PC version of the project will be distributed exclusively through VK Play. Which, given the problems that you need to face when buying games in foreign services, is quite natural and fair.
