A special stake is being made on the domestic auto industry.
The Russian car market should show growth this year, about 1 million cars can be sold in a year. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov in an interview with RBC. Recall that in the past 2022, 200,000 fewer new cars were sold in Russia.

Denis Manturov made it clear that the sales figure would definitely not be lower than 800 thousand, and with the help of the parallel import mechanism, this figure could be brought up to 1 million. Serious hopes are placed on the domestic auto industry in this context: 50,000 Muscovites and more than 400,000 cars from AvtoVAZ. But here you need to understand that we are talking only about produced cars, and not implemented ones.
The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade also noted that during the new year the situation in the automotive market “will enter clear trends.” For example, foreign automakers will definitely have to make a final decision for themselves about further work (or leaving – it depends on the decision) in Russia.
