Let’s celebrate this beginning of the year as it should be with our weekly meeting. This time it’s Nintendo Switch games with a small selection created by us. On the menu this week a lot of independent games with: penguins, an adventure on the ocean and sports.
The Punchuin
Let’s start our small selection with a puzzle game. Set in an adorable environment filled with polar bears and other animals from the frozen lands. The goal? Fight your way to the very top of the mountain and get the maximum rewards. To get there, nothing could be simpler, you can reach the top using your fists. Solo or against a friend, this title is extremely easy to learn and suitable for all types of players, especially beginners.

Exploring the immense expanses of water in a great adventure, does that tempt you? This is what Sail Forth offers, an independent game that takes place on the waves of the ocean. Travel through the myriad of islands and get to know the many locals you’ll encounter on your adventure. You build and upgrade your fleets of ships and weapons to take on the various adversaries that populate this world. Boat racing, fishing, and side quests are all available to you in Sail Forth. Small flat: the game does not have a French translation for the moment.

Let’s end our selection with a last independent game in pixel art, the sequel to Golf Story. As its name suggests, Sports Story evokes sport, but not only. It is an adventure RPG where you can practice different sports such as football, golf, BMX, tennis, and even fishing. When you’re not doing sports, you can explore dungeons or go into town and talk to the locals.
