The Ministry of Digital Transformation announced the assistance provided to Ukrainian Internet providers. The Ministry of Digital Development together with the eQualitie organization handed over 172 SBL batteries to providers.
Such batteries are designed to ensure uninterrupted operation of the equipment of providers when the power supply is turned off. Thanks to SBL batteries, providers will be able to provide services for another 10-12 hours after the blackout.
“This will help them power the Internet networks while there is no electricity, and people will be in touch with their families and know the latest news,” the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development notes.
According to available information, 29 Internet providers from all regions of Ukraine received batteries. Basically, these are providers from Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv and Sumy regions. It is noted that these regions are experiencing the greatest difficulties with the Internet due to blackouts.
