With cloud gaming services, you can play video games on a simple Chromebook. Asus has planned a tailor-made PC for this audience.

The advantage of cloud gaming is to allow you to play particularly demanding 3D games on any type of medium. No matter the performance of your laptop, or your Chromebook, you can access the latest fashionable games thanks to Xbox Cloud Gaming or GeForce Now.

In principle, the machine you use to access cloud gaming does not matter, so one can wonder when Asus unveils a machine designed for cloud gaming. Marketing bluff? No, the brand has really adapted its product for this use.

A real machine designed for (cloud) gaming

The Asus Chromebook Vibe CX34 Flip (CX3401FBA) includes a 16:10 screen at 144 Hz (9 ms response time) which should allow you to take full advantage of GeForce Now, Nvidia’s cloud gaming service offers just such a level of fluidity in streaming.

Offers a higher frame rate, which helps reduce latency, if the internet connection keeps pace. That’s good, the PC also offers the latest generation Wi-Fi 6E.

On the other hand, we smile when Asus proudly announces the integration of an RGB keyboard in this machine. Can video game players do without the medley of colors under their fingers? More importantly, the keyboard offers anti-ghosting, important so that the PC does not mix up the brushes when you press the keys frantically.

And a Chromebook

For the rest, Asus offers a rather standard high-end Chromebook with a 12th generation Intel Core i7 processor, 16 GB of RAM and SSD storage. Users will be able to access Google Play for apps, and Nvidia’s GeForce Now will be pre-installed on the machine.

The Asus Chromebook Vibe CX34 Flip (CX3401FBA) will be marketed from the 1st quarter of 2023 from 799 euros.
