The range specializing in relatively inexpensive laptops has just been renewed with new chips. 13th generation Intel Core, Nvidia RTX 4000 and AMD Ryzen are on the program.

Asus is renewing all of its gaming laptop ranges. After the ROG Strix, here are the TUFs.
TUF A16 Advantage Edition
We start with a special edition, the Asus TUF A16 Advantage Edition designed entirely by AMD. There is an AMD Ryzen 9 Zen 4 as well as an AMD Radeon RDNA 3 graphics card. The system is served by DDR5 4800 MHz RAM (up to 32 GB) and PCIe Gen 4 storage up to 2 TB. 90 Wh battery is powered by a supplied 280 W charging block and can also take advantage of charging via USB-C at 100 W.
Its 16-inch screen (FHD+ or QHD+) displays in its best configuration 240 Hz on the counter and 165 Hz in FHD+. It is of course FreeSync compatible to avoid tearing. The 16:10 format will bring a little more immersion and a little more comfort for workers. There is also an aluminum finish coating which should not be unpleasant to the touch.
In terms of connectivity, a small event since a USB 4 port invites itself on the left side of the PC alongside a USB-C (3.2 Gen 2, FreeSync, 100W PD) and a USB-A (USB 3.2 Gen 1), as well as an HDMI 2.1 port. On the right is a USB Type A (3.2 Gen 1) and a Kensington Security Slot.
TUF A15 and A17
With the TUF A15 and A17, Asus is moving to a hybrid configuration with AMD in charge for the CPU (Ryzen 9) and Nvidia for the GPU part (RTX 4000). RAM and storage like the majority of the spec sheet are largely unchanged.
The differentiating point is to be found on the side of the screen if only for the size of the panel which increases to 15 or 17 inches. FreeSync is obviously replaced by Nvidia G-Sync. In 15 inches, the screen can go up to 165 Hz in QHD. In 17 inches, the ceiling is at 240 Hz QHD. Another small difference: the load increases to 240 W on the adapter.
TUF F15 and F17
If you see an F in the title, it’s because Asus got this from Intel. Unsurprisingly, you’ll find 13th Gen Intel Core i9s as well as Nvidia RTX 4000 cards.
For the rest, compared to the TUF A15 and A17, USB 4 is swapped for a Thunderbolt 4. The screens change somewhat too. Here are the different configurations:
15 pouces :
QHD IPS, 165 Hz, 100 % DCI-P3, 300 cd/m², 3 ms ;
FHD vIPS, 144 Hz, 100 % sRGB, 250 cd/m², 25 ms.
17 pouces :
QHD IPS, 240 Hz, 100 % DCI-P3, 300 cd/m², 3 ms ;
FHD vIPS, 144 Hz, 45 % NTSC, 250 cd/m², 25 ms.
