Patch 6.3 “Gods Revel, Lands Tremble” will be released on January 10, 2023 and will bring a lot of new content to Final Fantasy 14. In addition to a continuation of the main scenario, the island paradise is also being expanded and we can venture into the continuation of the alliance raid “The Myths of Eorzeas”. However, during his 75th live letter, Yoshi-P also unveiled the new Ultimate Battle “The Omega Protocol” (Omega fatal), aimed primarily at hardcore raiders.

Omega – ultimativer Raidspaß
In the ultimate challenge against Omega you will face off against the boss of the raid series of the same name from the Final Fantasy 14 expansion Stormblood. Naoki Yoshida describes this fight with the words: “Everything here will be Omega. You will find out what that means. Everything Omega has seen and experienced will be thrown at you here.” So, as is usual with this type of battle, we’ll not only be dealing with the boss himself, but most likely many other battles in the raid series as well. What these are cannot be estimated at the moment. But among other things, the fights against the iconic phantom train or against Midgardsormr would be conceivable.
During the live letter, Yoshi-P also showed some sequences from the fight where we got a first look at the arena and some of the mechanics. He also said that Omega (fatal) would not necessarily be more difficult than the dragon war. However, since the combat design takes a slightly different direction, it will probably be a matter of personal preference as to which fight you find more difficult. The ultimate fight against Omega will be released two weeks after the release of FF14 Patch 6.3, on January 24th, 2023.
