Spoiler alert
Luceris died in the House of the Dragon season 1 finale, although unlike the book, it was an accident: Aymond Targaryen lost control of his dragon Vhagar, resulting in the gruesome death of Luceris and his own dragon. In the final moment of the season, a grieving Reynira appears furious, foreshadowing fire and blood to come.
“Don’t expect it in ’23, but I think it’s somewhere in ’24,” HBO Max chief content manager Casey Bloys said of a potential release date for House of the Dragon season 2. “We’re just starting to plan and like last time there are a lot of unknowns. It’s not to be sneaky or stealthy but you don’t want to say everything will be ready by that date and then you have to reschedule it “.
