NVIDIA took advantage of yesterday to reveal its ‘new’ RTX 4070 Ti, a graphics card that is actually the canceled RTX 4080 12GB, with another name, and according to NVIDIA, a slightly lower price. But even lower, it remains an exaggeration of price, which will possibly make this card a market flop, just like the RTX 4080 before it.
After all, while the RTX 4080 12GB was supposed to hit the market at $949, the new RTX 4070 Ti, which I repeat again, is the exact same graphics card, with a different name, was announced yesterday at $799. However, as you may already know, after so many years looking at the market, and prices that reach Portugal…
Dollar prices never translate very well to euros.
Which is exactly why the RTX 4070 Ti has already started to appear in some stores, starting very close to €1000, with versions touching, or even exceeding, €1200. I’m very honest… These are ridiculous prices!
RTX 4070 Ti at €800? AHAH! Between €1000 and €1200
So, as you might have noticed by the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 launches, graphics cards are incredibly inflated in 2020~2023, and of course, prices in Europe are even uglier, especially in Portugal, which has a simply incredible tax burden .
However, the RTX 4070 Ti has not yet appeared on the best known PCDiga and Globaldata, but it has already started to make its appearance on the PC Componentswhere it appears with several versions, from Zotac and MSI, between 996€ and 1212€. This is the price of this board… Unfortunately.
Also, what do you think about all this? Interested in this graphics card at this price? Or do things have to change significantly in the near future? Share your opinion with us in the comments box below.
