Netflix is undoubtedly one of the most popular streaming services in the world, but despite the fact that we use it so often, there are some mistakes that we make with our account. That said, our viewing experience is determined by a number of factors, including knowledge of the wide variety of categories on offer, recommendations and how much time we spend peeking at the platform. So we’re going to explain how to avoid mistakes that can make Netflix less attractive.
You are making these mistakes with your Netflix account!
Prioritize Netflix Originals
Many people pay for Netflix because they want to see original shows made exclusively for this service. Netflix exclusives include great series like Stranger Things or Squid Game. But this could end up doing more harm than good. All because Netflix originals generally aren’t going to disappear from the service anytime soon. Some may never go away. The same can’t be said for every other TV show and movie. To make room for new content, it’s only natural that Netflix deletes some things on a regular basis. In fact, content disappears every week.

Don’t rate content
Netflix allows you to rate content based on a thumbs up or thumbs down model. But beyond that there’s even a double thumbs up option for the things we really like. And yet, many of us never rate content.
However the rating system is there for a couple of reasons, both of which are important to your viewing experience. Obviously, it informs other people (and obviously Netflix itself) which content is better. This means that Netflix can look into the future and decide which genres are actively enjoyed.
see all at once
Netflix on most occasions makes the complete series of episodes available to watch, and automatically starts the next episode halfway through the credits of the previous one. But this must not always be so. It can lead, for example, to several productions losing their impact due to the fact that we don’t have enough time to digest what we’ve seen. In addition, the dramatic tension can also be lost. Furthermore, on some occasions we even look at the cell phone or something else while watching a series continuously, simply because we are tired inside.
Do not download content
If you’re going on a long trip without an internet connection or spotty, downloading stuff to your device means you can take your favorite shows and movies with you wherever you go.
You are allowed to download up to 100 titles, but of course this will depend on your device’s memory.
Share your profile with someone else
Even if everyone in a household shares an account, you shouldn’t share profiles.
Having numerous profiles seems cumbersome. But the benefits of adding a few personal details far outweigh the few minutes it takes to create each additional profile.
This is because the recommendations will be more accurate. Netflix will assess your viewing habits and determine what similar content to show – not movies similar to something a family member has watched.
