At CES 2023, Kohler announced a new aromatherapy infusion system for the Sprig shower, consisting of a special gadget and aroma capsules.
The company promises that the system will turn the daily ritual of bathing into a trip to the SPA: the capsules will fill the water flow with the aromas of eucalyptus, chamomile and lavender, as well as substances beneficial for the skin – hyaluronic acid or salts.
Kohler notes that these substances are safe for the body and the system should be used “within a few minutes.”

In general, the gadget can be attached to any shower head, however, only Sprig aroma capsules can be inserted into the holder. In the future, they need to be bought separately: for 6 disposable capsules you will have to pay $21, and one reusable capsule will cost $24 (provided for 8 times of use).
The price of the gadget itself starts at $119 dollars, it can be purchased during the first quarter of 2023.
Kohler isn’t the only company that believes that aromatherapy showers will successfully join the ranks of “health technologies.” This month, startup Hai is launching a product called Fuse, which can also be attached to any shower head and infuse the water with scents and vitamins. The cost of such a nozzle is $49 dollars and it will be released on January 25th. Instead of capsules, the Hai infusion shower system uses tablets (composed of sodium bicarbonate and citric acid) with lavender and tangerine scents. They can be purchased from $26 dollars for 16 pieces.
Another “interesting” Kohler development is the Numi 2.0 smart toilet for $11,500 with a built-in Alexa voice assistant, ultraviolet cleaning lamps, temperature, position and pressure control. Its bowl automatically washes away the dirt on the walls and deodorizes. Heated seat, dehumidifier, emergency backup flush and automatic lid available. All of these features are controlled via a handheld remote control, while the LEDs and surround sound are controlled by the Kohler Konnect software.
