It’s all over Facebook and not just an offer that Mercadona is running in which it offers a 500 Euro voucher for the 45th anniversary of this establishment. To be able to receive this coupon, people have to congratulate them, share the post and register using the link provided. But is this true?
Is Mercadona really offering 500 Euros?
Nowadays the schemes are more than many and they are well done. Otherwise, it would not be possible to deceive so many users. Now a widely shared publication mentions that Mercadona is giving 500 Euros as a gift. In fact, in the publication it says 500 bags and on the website it mentions the voucher of 500 Euros. That is, soon an incongruity to begin with.
In any case, the publication that dates from today is counting on a large number of users. This is mainly due to sharing. At the moment I’m writing, there are already 632 comments, most congratulating and more than 270 shares.
However, the page is quite active. This is because some people’s comments are even entitled to a response, remembering that it is important to share the post.
As I mentioned above there are some things you have to do. The first is to share the publication, the other to congratulate and finally register on the site.
Now there are many things that don’t add up here. In addition to the issue of 500 bags and 500 Euros, we have a website hosted at sites.google.com. It would not be something that Mercadona would do.
But still, when you click on the link, do you really think that the page below is the official one?
Fake page
Just to clarify doubts, the page I show below and as you can see right from the start is that it corresponds to Mercadona’s official page.
real page
But returning to the fake page, we are invited to press the registration button and then enter a telephone number.
This to qualify for the prize! The point is that we will not be entitled to absolutely nothing. In fact, it’s going to come out of pocket money.
That said, on the introduction page of our mobile phone number we have some very small letters that say the following. Quizemz subscription service. The total cost of the service is €4.20/week (€2.1/SMS) with VAT at the legal rate, automatically renewed.
In other words, what will happen is that we will start paying 4 Euros and 20 cents per week, which are automatically renewed. That is, about 17 Euros per month.
It is for this reason that we have to be very attentive to these schemes. When an offer sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
So be very careful and always report!
